1840 Italain Venetian Cabinet On Stand Polychrome Painted & Lion Heads Carvings
Royal House Antiques is delighted to offer for sale this sublime circa 1840 Italian Venetian Polychrome painted cabinet on stand with Lion head carved silver leaf painted base. An exquisite looking and very well-made piece, the base is ornately carved from top to bottom, the top of the base has multiple dual Lion's heads hold flower reefs in their mouths, the legs are exquisite with to much detail to list. The main body is polychrome painted with flowers and a walnut finish. We have lightly cleaned waxed and polished it, there were some repairs to the base around the delicate floral reefs, otherwise the piece is in very fine order with a genuine period patina. Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point, if you would like any additional or specific measurements please ask.
